About System Integration
With Sherlock Systems, you have a partner
in technology

Sherlock Systems Inc. designs, manufactures, and
markets custom computing solutions for OEMs across various markets. If
you need anything from a component added to a branded system or a
complete custom system built, Sherlock Systems has a program
already in place for you.
As a normal function of Sherlock’s daily business processes
we manage all product and program activities, allowing us to
do it efficiently and cost effectively. All of this leads to
less overhead and increased ROI for our customers.
Our comprehensive services range from the simple integration
of a card into a name-brand system to custom-made solutions
using desktops, laptops, servers, or unbranded systems.
Sherlock has a long record of success designing and
building custom-fit computers for the OEM applications
marketplace. Sherlock has the tools and processes in place
to offer our customers a range of services that are geared
entirely toward making their products as successful and cost
effective as possible.
Sherlock’s mission is to create a partnership with our
customers. We will operate as a direct extension of
our customer's engineering, manufacturing, quality and
procurement activities. By doing so Sherlock’s customers are
able to focus on their priorities, while Sherlock
focuses on your computing solutions.
Support Structure
Our integration center in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, is
centrally located in the Midwest and serves customers across
the country. Sherlock works as a contract manufacturer of
electronic products and is also an authorized sales,
service, and warranty center for Intel, Hewlett Packard,
IBM, and Lenovo. We are also an authorized reseller of
Toshiba, Dell, Sony, and Apple. We have been an Intel
Premier Channel Partner for several years. These
partnerships allow Sherlock to be a service center for
channel assembly and warranty support.
Integration Process
Our process is consistent, regardless of the type of order
being
placed. Complete configuration instructions are compiled for
each new order. Then the orders are sent for technical
review. Orders that fail technical review are put on hold
until hardware specialists and the account manager resolve
the problem. Orders that pass the technical review are
released to the integration center, where each component’s
serial number is recorded and all the hardware and software
is installed.
The completed system is thoroughly tested for
compatibility. It must pass all tests to proceed to the
Quality Assurance (QA) stage. At QA, systems are put
through a battery of performance-based tests and are
inspected for cosmetic blemishes. Fully tested systems are
returned to their original packaging before being sent to
shipping.
A
Total Computing Solutions Provider
Sherlock applies a total business model across the complete
product life cycle rather than simply in the design or
manufacturing phase. This allows the OEM to recycle or
reallocate important internal resources to more value added
activities.
